Feasibility Studies
Every project we work on is analysed both elementally and functionally for construction cost data and against many key performance indicators. To this end we have established a large cost database of project rates, functional costs and cost models. This database will assist us to produce a Feasibility Estimate from sketch plans or no information at all depending on the stage of feasibility advice required.
Beacon Consulting can provide comprehensive and complete feasibility reports including advice on expected development outgoings, cashflow and profit expectancy. As leaders in property and construction we also can provide benchmark market and economic information including local market trends; the supply and demand characteristics of a local market, optimal price categories for specific market segments, optimal unit sizes (m2), efficiency of design and floor areas, standard of finishes and Amenities that may be provided to make the project more competitive with existing supply.
Needs options? Quite often we are asked to consider and price many different layout mix of use and types of construction for schemes at feasibility stage. Beacon are experts at providing cost information at a desktop level regarding; density of use, building configuration and method of construction that will assist in savings even at this early stage of design. Our role at this stage is to help you make profitable decisions regarding the development. When the feasibility of the project has been confirmed we would then produce a Preliminary Budget or Cost Plan Estimate from the more detailed sketch design information to take into account all issues and options identified during the feasibility study and to establish the Cost Plan as the maximum cap for all future cost planning exercises.
