I was at an industry briefing for a potential new major project last week when a competitor asked me, "Do you have much experience in Project Management and Contract Administration in Papua New Guinea?"
I stared blankly for a minute, and then realised that we really don't talk too much about what we have achieved as a company. Although we are Cairns based, we basically now work wholly on Papua New Guinea projects. I am in Papua New Guinea more often than I am not, and so are most of our Project Managers.
As a team we have been extremely busy over the last 12 months and we simply haven't had the time to promote the achievements or our excellent team of Project Managers and Cost Managers.
I am making the time this morning.
The infographic below shows just how busy we are in Papua New Guinea.
This isn't a historical summary. It's a simple addition of the actual contract values of the projects which we have currently under construction in Papua New Guinea which we are Project Managing.
I want to genuinely thank all of our team members for their ongoing hard work and to our clients for the trust they place in us to deliver their capital works projects in Papua New Guinea.
We feel proud of our achievements. We are proud of our projects, our design teams, and our clients. We think we deserve to feel proud of what we have achieved.
We love working in Papua New Guinea. We enjoy our time there and genuinely like working with the country's people and the opportunities it affords us as a Project Management firm.
Delivering difficult projects on budget and on time as Project Managers is what we do. It is now our core business and represents 90% of our annual turnover.
Over the last ten years we have proven that time and again that we are very good at delivering projects on time and on budget. We look forward to another ten years.
