BHP Billiton Office fit-out

Project Scope

This project comprised the high quality internal fit-out of new BHP Billiton office tower in Perth, known as City Square at 125 St Georges Terrace. This project was a marquee fit-out for BHP Billiton and comprised new and exciting design features and layouts. The project was the biggest office leasing deal in Perth's history which includes a massive 60,000 m2 leased area.

Budget and Program

The budget for the project was A$65.5M Construction on main structure commenced in November 2008 by Brookfield Multiplex and is due for completion late 2012.

Consultant team members and their role

Rodney Byl MAIBS (working for Milestone Building Compliance) was the consultant engaged by BHP Billiton to undertake a comprehensive BCA analysis of the entire internal office layout and identify opportunities for alternative solutions and final assessment of the project.#  

Scope of consultancy services provided

Rodney undertook BCA assessment of entire internal layout and identified opportunities for alternative solutions and final assessment of the project in order to add value and reduce costs. The commission required that Rodney collaborate with consultant team of main structure to ensure consistency throughout the compliance of the entire building.
