Djarragun College Dining Hall, Gordonvale

Project Scope

This project comprised a new dining hall and commercial kitchen facility located at Djarragun College located 30 minutes south of Cairns at Gordonvale.

With a gross floor area of over 450m2 this project provided the college with a state of the art dining facility to cater for it's boarding and day students as well as providing a state of the art commercial kitchen for the overall school campus.

Budget and Program

The budget for the project was A$3.5M. Construction was completed in 2006 and was delivered by Greg McDonald on Budget.

Consultant team members and their role

Greg McDonald (Director) was the Cost Planner during from initial inception of the project and BGA funding stage, throughout design development phase and Post Contract Quantity Surveyor engaged by the Client during the construction phase of the building works.  Greg delivered the project within the budget constraints set aside by the school.

Scope of consultancy services provided

Our Directors provided initial project concept costing advice and assisted in preparing the budgets for submission to the BGA for funding of the project.  During the design phase we provided full cost planning and estimating services and also provide post contract services including variation assessment during the construction phase.
