The IPA Bully Beef Building is a new two storey purpose built educational and administration building located at the PNG Institute of Public Administration (IPA) Waigani facility. The run-down “Building A” has been demolished to make way for a new administration and education wing. Its replacement will contain new classrooms, meeting rooms and administrative offices. A refurbished learning resource centre is also part of the project.
Funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and being delivered by Cardno Emerging Markets this project is part of the Pacific Leadership and Governance Precinct’s key institutional deliverables and when completed will offer undergraduate and post-graduate courses tailored to the needs of public and private sector employers.
Beacon Consulting provided full cost planning services and bills of quantities on this project. This project had a fixed budget and was required to be delivered on budget at tender to meet the funding requirements of DFAT. Beacon Consulting's cost planning efforts ensured that tenders closed within the project budget.
The project had a budget of PGK 15 Million Kina. The project is currently under construction and is expected to be complete in 2017.
