Project Scope

Consisting of 24 two bedroom apartments Retreat on Martyn was developed by Benchmark Developments and completed in 2009.  Less than a kilometre away from Cairns Central this complex featured a basement car park, a resort style pool and BBQ area and a Gross Floor Area of 3,567 m2.

Budget and Program

The budget for the project was A$5M. Construction was completed in 2009 and was delivered by Beacon Consulting on Budget.

Consultant team members and their role

Greg McDonald (Director) was the Cost Planner during from initial inception of the project, throughout design development phase and Post Contract Quantity Surveyor engaged by the Client and the Financier.  Greg delivered the project within the budget constraints set aside by developer and financier.

Scope of consultancy services provided

Beacon Consulting provided initial project concept costing advice and assisted in preparing the budgets for funding of the project.  During the design phase we provided full cost planning and estimating services and also provide post contract services and financiers monitoring.
