Project Scope

Consisting of 16 apartments this simply detailed yet architecturally attractive unit development was built over four stories by local builder La Spina Constructions.  Located on Draper Street, just 2 km from the Cairns Esplanade and a five minute drive from Cairns Central this project was delivered within 1% of the original schematic design budget at time of tender.

The project also features an undercroft car park, lift serving every level and a resort style pool and BBQ area, surrounded by a lush tropical landscape.

Budget and Program

The budget for the project was A$4.5M. Construction was completed in 2010 and was delivered by Beacon Consulting on Budget.

Consultant team members and their role

Greg McDonald (Director) was the Cost Planner during from initial inception of the project, throughout design development phase.  Greg delivered the project within the budget constraints set aside by developer.

Scope of consultancy services provided

Greg McDonald provided initial project concept costing advice and assisted in preparing the budgets for funding of the project.  During the design and construction phases we provided full cost planning and estimating services.
